Beloveds,
As summer gently winds down, I hope this letter finds you basking in the warmth of wonderful memories and restful moments. It's hard to believe that our summer break is almost over, and with that, we eagerly anticipate the vibrant return to our regular church life.
Mark your calendars for September 8th, as we kick off the new season with our much-anticipated Rally Day! This special day will be filled with joy, fellowship, and an opportunity to explore the various ministries at St. Paul's. Join us for the Ministry Fair on Sunday morning, between the 9:00 AM and 11:15 AM services, where you can learn about the many ways to get involved and serve within our church community.
We are thrilled to continue our Spoken Rite II Saturday Service in the Cathedral. Starting on September 7th, the service will move to 4:00 PM. This service, which we began over the summer, has been a wonderful experience for many, and we are excited to keep it as part of our regular schedule.
As for our Sunday mornings, there are no changes. We will maintain our cherished traditions with the following services:
- 8:00 AM: Rite I Eucharist in the Chapel
- 9:00 AM: Rite II Eucharist in the Cathedral
- 11:15 AM: Rite I Eucharist in the Cathedral
While we will no longer have a regular Sunday evening service, we look forward to focusing our energies on enriching the above worship experiences and our special services and events throughout the year. This includes Choral Evensong, which will be held regularly throughout the year on specific dates (see the full calendar below). Plan now to join us for these beautiful and reflective services.
As we step into this new season, we hope that everyone will consider engaging more deeply with our community through:
1. **Regular Worship:** Join us consistently for worship, as your presence is a blessing to all.
2. **Financial Gifts:** Consider making a financial contribution to support the ongoing work of our church.
3. **Participation in Ministry:** Get involved in at least one ministry, using your unique talents to serve and grow in faith.
We invite you to embrace these opportunities as ways to honor God and enrich our community life. By sharing our talents, we not only honor God but also serve our larger community, embodying the spirit of generosity and love that lies at the heart of our faith. Your involvement enriches our worship, strengthens our bonds, and helps us grow together in faith. Let's embrace this opportunity to give back, explore new avenues of service, and prepare for a vibrant season ahead at St. Paul’s.
I am truly excited about all this new season holds for us, and I am grateful to the Vestry for their leadership and thoughtfulness in helping us gather in meaningful ways. I look forward to seeing each of you as we gather to worship, learn, and grow in our faith. Let's come together with hearts full of enthusiasm and joy as we say goodbye to summer and hello to fall at St. Paul's.
With gratitude,
